NZEALS Leadership Forums for 2023

Continuing from our NZEALS 2022 conference theme of Tūrangawaewae: a place to stand, our overall theme for NZEALS 2023 leadership forums is

Standing with awareness: knowing and Being your self, as you lead.

Whaowhia te kete mātauranga
Fill the basket of knowledge.

NZEALS leadership forums are a space to Be, to think together, to share each other’s experience across the sectors of education, and to grow our awareness of our self as we explore leadership issues and potential.

Forums2023 Featured

In Term 1 we start the year by acknowledging the extreme issues faced by many educational leaders, particularly in areas affected by Cyclone Gabrielle, and learning from post-earthquake leadership experience in Christchurch.

Mā mua ka kite a muri, mā muri ka ora a mua
Those who lead give sight to those who follow, those who follow give life to those who lead.

In Terms 2 and 3 we offer three linked sessions in consecutive weeks. These consider the term’s theme – of cultural responsivity; of relational trust - from three perspectives: the leader, the team and the individual.

Join us each week, either at 4.00pm or at 7.00pm, according to your availability.

Finally, in Term 4 we re-consider our Tūrangawaewae in the light of the year’s discussion. Where do we each stand now, as a leader?

All forums are free to NZEALS members.
Charge for non-members in Terms 2 and 3: $30 per term.
There is no charge for non-members in Terms 1 and 4
