NZEALS has been publishing international educational leadership papers since 1986, first in print and more recently online. Our Journal of Educational Leadership, Policy and Practice has recently moved to Sciendo – the publishing arm of DeGruyter - and papers previously published with Exeley can all be found on the Sciendo website:

We are about to open Volume 37, and are ready to receive your research papers and leadership stories, from New Zealand and internationally. Papers can be submitted at any time and are double-blind refereed in accordance with standard academic practice. We welcome papers from new researchers, and are happy to help any authors who are new to academic writing: we are as proud to see your name in print as you are!
Research papers (up to 7,000 words) focus on the policy and / or practice of educational leadership at international, national, regional or institutional level, in any sector of education. Leadership stories are less formal pieces (up to 3,000 words), usually focussing on one aspect of educational leadership or a particular leadership scenario.
