LEADING LIGHTS Issue 1 | 2024
The NZEALS Canterbury Conference Team welcomes you to Ōtautahi. NZEALS takes pride in presenting a conference that is learner and learning focused through creating a space for participants to be together, to be informed and challenged by speakers and to have conversations with others as you consider what to take to your own practice as an educational leader.

Tūranga in Christchurch city
Tūranga is a name that carries with it considerable responsibility. Tūranga speaks of whakapapa across generations, connections to the north and out to Te Moana-nui-a-Kiwa and the wider Pacific. Recounted in the waiata ‘E Tuku Ana’, Tūranga is celebrated in a depiction on the west-facing outer wall of the library building. Leading Well- Leading together- Leading with Optimism
NZEALS is known for its cross-sector boutique conferences where people come together to have dialogue whilst being stimulated and challenged by diverse speakers and hearing practitioner stories.
What brings us together is our shared focus on leading albeit in diverse contexts.
The social events create space for people to be together, enjoy each other’s company and be entertained.
We can look forward to being in the Great Hall.
